Number 1 — Watch the pavilion get built! The structure is at a DeKalb Parks warehouse. We’re waiting on a final approval of the permit from the DeKalb Board of Commissioners. Then, cement will be poured and the pavilion will be erected.

Other plans for 2021

• update the sign in the park and ask for more members and volunteers
• raise funds for a kiosk
• host educational and fun events in the park
• record interviews with people who have long memories of the park and post them on our webpage and social media
• create an opportunity to sponsor the educational signs and meditation signs (a fundraising initiative)
• publicize the next phase of improvements
• plan the volunteer day for tilling and planting the Serenity Gardens.
